MARINE PARADE - Upgrade Project

Marine Parade Upgrade Project – Christchurch City Council (CCC)

Our team managed a wide range of subcontractors, concurrent works, and stakeholders, ensuring smooth coordination throughout this project.

The project was successfully executed under an Archaeological Authority granted by Heritage New Zealand. During the course of the works, contaminated material (Coal Tar) was identified and carefully managed in accordance with the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) to ensure safety and compliance.

Community Focus and Support: Throughout the project, we placed a strong emphasis on maintaining access to community facilities. Recognising the importance of recreational spaces, particularly for the youth of New Brighton, we went above and beyond to relocate the local pump track. This ensured that the community could continue to enjoy the facility while construction was underway, minimising disruptions and keeping the area accessible.

At Earthworks & Paving, we understand the impact construction projects can have on local businesses. That's why we’re committed to reducing disruption and supporting the local economy. For example, we funded signage outside local shops to highlight that they remained open for business. These small but meaningful gestures were aimed at strengthening the local economy and ensuring the community’s ongoing success.

Through careful planning, collaboration, and a focus on community well-being, the Marine Parade project stands as a testament to our commitment to quality, sustainability, and local support.
